As more American service members deploy or redeploy with the Global War on Terror, Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino is partnering with nonprofit, Soldiers’ Angels throughout the month of May to provide continued support for the more than 300,000 soldiers deployed around the world.

The resort has developed a casino promotion that will enable patrons to donate non-perishable items to Soldiers’ Angels in exchange for points and/or match play in the casino. All items collected from a wish list will be shipped overseas to the men and women serving the country.

"We're so pleased to support our troops on the front lines," said Scott Eldredge, COO of Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino. "We hope that with the help of our guests, the volunteers of Soldiers’ Angels can continue to work tirelessly for veterans and their families.”

The Soldier’s Angels promotion is valid May 1-31, Tuesdays through Thursdays, at Inn of the Mountain Gods casino and the Casino Apache Travel Center.

Guests have the opportunity to simply donate three non-perishable items and other necessities on the wish list in exchange for 5X points or $5 table games match play to be used in the casino (must be an Apache Spirit Club member to receive points/match play).

“As the drawdown continues in Iraq, the remaining troops have fewer amenities and are extremely grateful for home front support like this,” said Soldiers’ Angels Executive Director Toby Nun.

“The need also remains high in Afghanistan. Soldiers’ Angels is thrilled to see great companies like Inn of the Mountain Gods step up to help us support all of these heroes and ensure they are not forgotten.”

Established in 2003, Soldiers' Angels is an award-winning 501(c)(3) with hundreds of thousands of volunteers providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, as well as veterans and military families through a wide variety of hands-on projects and volunteerism. Soldiers' Angels is dedicated in supporting the military during and after their deployment.

Soldiers' Angels has sent countless letters and packages to our troops since it began in 2003.

Patti Patton-Bader was inspired to found Soldier's Angels when her son wrote home from Iraq, expressing his concern that some soldiers did not receive any mail or support from home. Within a few short months Soldiers' Angels had grown from a mother writing a few extra letters, to an Internet community with hundreds of thousands of Angels worldwide.
