Busted for possession

Following a traffic stop and a field sobriety test, police arrested Quinncy Klein, 18, of Ruidoso Downs for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia Dec. 18. Klein was taken to the Ruidoso Police Department for booking and later bonded out.

Graffiti report

An individual with rental property in Ruidoso reported to police, Dec. 20, that his rental building on the 100 block of Sudderth Drive had been damaged with graffiti. There was no indication of how long it had been damaged or how much it would cost to repair.

Domestic incident

An arrest warrant for battery was completed against Lori Torres, 37, of Ruidoso following an incident Dec. 21.

Sugar in the tank

A resident reported Dec. 19 his vehicle had been damaged when someone put sugar in the gas tank while it was parked on the 300 block of Sudderth Drive. Damage to the engine is unknown at this time.

Rock through the window

A residence on the 200 block of Forest Lane was found to have had a rock thrown through the window of a door Dec. 17. Cost of the damage is estimated at $500.

Assumed identity

A man who confessed to using his brother’s identity during a traffic stop Sept. 30 was charged with failure to identify Dec. 6. As Cody Johnson, 21, was already incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center, he was to be summoned into court.

Trespassing

Sherman Trujillo, 28, of Mescalero, was arrested Dec. 17 for trespassing after returning to a home on the 200 block of Gavilan Canyon. Sherman was taken to RPD for booking and later bonded out.
