“The Sanctuary will be a gathering place, a resource center and a place of support and refuge,” said Debbie Haines-Nix, owner of The Sanctuary and a life coach. “It will be a place where people can figure out what their passions are and how to achieve them for themselves.”
The Ruidoso branch of ENMU has partnered with The Sanctuary on the River to present a number of group workshops designed to inspire and facilitate inner change at a reasonable price.
Writer and artist workshops also will be coming soon to the Inspired Living Center.
“When I used to go to these workshops they would cost upwards of $1,500, but that price is cost-prohibitive,” said Haines-Nix.
Workshop leaders receive a 70/30 cut of the cost for each attendee. The remaining 30 percent helps defer marketing and promotion expenses.
“Workshop leaders often have extensive email lists which can assist in filling up the seminars.
If the seminar is full we all benefit, however, if no one shows up, no one gets hurt financially,” said Haines-Nix, “It’s a win-win situation.”
A life coach is not a counselor or therapist. A therapist will start with the here-and-now and work backwards, whereas a life coach will start with today and move forward.
“We’re all about making plans and being accountable,” says Haine’s-Nix, “and group coaching elicits a lot of interaction and creativity. Twelve-Step programs will work well with what we’re doing here because ‘like-minded’ people will be attracted to this environment.”
In addition to the workshops and seminars, The Sanctuary has allotted a large area devoted to growing its own organic botanicals such as wheatgrass and a variety of sprouts. Tom Histon is in charge of the hydroponics – a position he is familiar with from his business in Capitan.
“The plants will be used to make deliciously nutritious drinks at our ‘green’ juice bar and we also have plans to incorporate our organic lettuces into salads at some point,” Histon said.
Massage and esthetician services are in the process of being implemented.
The Sanctuary is proud to offer Arbonne International (skincare) products which help to bring the physical self into alignment with the metaphysical.
All special events such as weddings, baby showers, parties and memorial services are welcome at The Sanctuary.
