Twentty-two year old Ashley McCasland died of an apparent overdose late Friday night or early Saturday morning. McCasland, of Eunice, was pronounced dead on the scene around noon Saturday Jan. 15 at 121 Pat Thomposon Court, according to the Ruidoso Police Department. A fatal mix of pain killers, muscle relaxers and alcohol was credited as the source of the overdose.
