A farmer’s market, flea market and crafter’s market, sponsored by the Mayhill Community Center Board is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 25 and Sept. 29 at the Mayhill Community Center and Park. Vendors needed – pre-register by calling 687-3334 or 687-2003. Inside with table provided for $20; outside bring your own table costs $10. Licensed food vendors making food onsite, $25; additional $25 if you need electricity.

Also this year the 1st Farmer’s Market in Glencoe began July 18 from 9 - 11 a.m. to farmers/gardeners that have enough fruits and vegetables (tomatoes, squash, onions, garlic, lettuce and cabbage) to sell for Wednesday’s market. In the weeks to come the group anticipates that there will be more farmers/gardeners participating as the season ripens local fruits and vegetables.
